Welcome to The Accommodations Bridge

I’m Ellen Kipnis, LCSW, and I founded The Accommodations Bridge to help college students and graduate-school applicants perform at their best when it matters most. For over a decade, I have worked extensively with college-aged students and young adults navigating anxiety, executive-functioning challenges, ADHD, and Autism. My clinical background includes years of providing individual therapy and executive-functioning coaching, helping students manage attention, organization, emotional regulation, and performance under pressure.

Through this work, I saw firsthand how capable, motivated students can struggle when academic and testing demands increase — even if they never needed support earlier in their education. Many adults find that college, graduate school, and high-stakes testing place new demands on attention, processing speed, stamina, and organization. What once felt manageable can suddenly become overwhelming, and students are often surprised, frustrated, or discouraged by these challenges.

I also understand how emotionally difficult it can be to ask for help later in life. Many students feel they “should” be able to handle things on their own, especially if they did well academically in the past. In my clinical work, I’ve supported countless students through this exact experience — helping them recognize that needing support is not a failure, but a smart and proactive step toward reaching their full potential.

My extensive experience in therapy and executive coaching became the natural bridge into specializing in accommodations evaluations. I understand not only the clinical and diagnostic components, but also the real-world academic, emotional, and performance pressures students face. This allows me to approach evaluations with both technical expertise and genuine understanding of what students are going through.

At The Accommodations Bridge, my goal is to make the accommodations process clear, supportive, and smooth. From your first conversation to completed documentation, I guide you through each step so you don’t have to navigate it alone. It doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming — with the right support, it can be a straightforward process that helps remove barriers and allows your true abilities to show.

My mission is simple: To help you perform at your best when it matters most.
